The Imaging & Data Entry Analyst I position at the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supports the Illinois Department of Revenue by providing a full range of IT applications services. The role involves coordinating and conducting specialized application development, performing business process analysis, and serving as a project coordinator for hardware and software deployments. The analyst will also assist higher-level analysts with maintenance tasks and stay updated on new developments in the IT field.

  • Confer with users to determine needed changes and enhancements.
  • Perform comprehensive studies and analyses of client needs and objectives.
  • Serve as a project coordinator for standard projects including small and medium size hardware and software deployments and installations.
  • Assist higher level analysts with scheduled and remedial maintenance to application services.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the information technology field through continued education and training.
  • Knowledge equivalent to four years of college with coursework in computer science or related fields.
  • One year of professional experience in Application Services or a related IT field.
  • One year of professional experience utilizing .NET, C sharp, visual studio, HTML, PowerShell, SQL, and Crystal reports.
  • One year of experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile.
  • One year of experience with business process analysis, design, modeling, reengineering.
  • One year of professional experience leading projects in an IT environment.
  • Ability to translate business use cases into functional and technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of conducting feasibility studies for system conversions and enhancements.
  • Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgement in evaluating operational or procedural problems.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, and clients.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information clearly.
