The Imaging Care Technician job provides quality customer service to patients of all ages, their families, visitors, medical staff, clinicians and co-workers, ensuring that everyone will be treated courteously, quickly and with respect. This job assists in coordinating day-to-day patient care under the supervisor’s direction. The Imaging Care Technician job performs daily observations of patients under directions of supervisory staff. This role performs patient education by explaining the ordered procedure to the patient prior to performing the diagnostic study. This role also interacts with various customers by answering phones, directing calls to appropriate area/person. The Imaging Care Technician job takes complete and accurate messages. This position helps expedite exams by charging exams, patient prep, arranging patient transportation and assists with daily workflow. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with the manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet staffing requirements or as is in the best interest of the work area. May require overtime and/or weekends. May need to help move patients from bed/stretcher to CT scan table.
