About the position

The Imaging Business Operations Coordinator at Eskenazi Health is responsible for a variety of moderate to complex administrative functions within the Imaging Services department. This role supports day-to-day operational needs, assists leadership in business decisions, and ensures smooth operations to provide excellent patient care. The coordinator will manage supplies, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and oversee staff training and orientation, all while contributing to the mission of advocating for and serving the vulnerable population of Marion County.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in processing and tracking departmental supplies and related expenses.
  • Responsible for cataloging and processing requisitions and purchase orders; maintains effective and organized reporting system.
  • Completes a variety of administrative duties including making copies, collating documents, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Completes projects and special assignments by establishing objectives and managing time effectively.
  • Updates purchasing lists with correct SAP numbers, prices, and new supply items.
  • Assists with Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance for the Imaging Services department.
  • Maintains supply levels and ordering for Imaging Services.
  • Assists with orientation of new employees.
  • Evaluates compliance with established safety procedures and promotes a safety-focused environment.
  • Procures supplies for imaging and ancillary departments, optimizing inventory to meet patient care needs.
  • Ensures constant state of readiness for regulatory compliance and suggests process improvements.
  • Serves as liaison from Imaging to other hospital departments and provides oversight for imaging patient care assistants.
  • Educates and trains staff, addressing customer service issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Indiana licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Registration with ARRT, ARDMS, CCI or NMTCB certification.
  • Two years of job-related experience required.
  • Participation in continuing education activities to meet licensure and certification requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred for clinical areas.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and evaluate assigned technical staff.
