Imaging Assistant
About The Position
The Imaging Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for use. This role involves assisting technologists with patient care, greeting and directing visitors, managing incoming phone calls, and distributing paperwork to the appropriate personnel. The Imaging Assistant must also be knowledgeable about all film file room operations within Imaging Services. Additionally, the position serves as a liaison for patients, families, and visitors to enhance satisfaction, and is expected to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all equipment and supplies are readily available
- Assists technologists with patients
- Greets and directs visitors
- Receives and directs incoming phone calls
- Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel
- Maintains knowledge of all film file room operations in Imaging Services
- Functions as a patient/family/visitor liaison in an effort to improve satisfaction
- Acts in a manner that ensures privacy and confidentiality
