About The Position

Imaging Assistants are an integral part of the Radiology Team providing a high standard of patient centered care to deliver and maintain a good patient experience. We are looking for individuals with: GCSE (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English Language and Mathematics Experience in a caring/clerical post Committed to providing quality care Highly motivated and want to be a part of a dedicated team Excellent interpersonal skills and strong patient focus You will become part of a professional and caring workforce delivering high standards of care to our patients, which is both challenging and rewarding. The post will be a support role to patients undergoing tests and procedures, assisting consultants and radiographers performing radiology examinations. Performing admin and clerical duties that relate to the department. The Radiology facility at New Cross Hospital is a purpose-built unit completed in 2003, with excellent facilities for patients and staff. This post will be based in the Breast Imaging department at New Cross Hospital. This post is covered by the Equal Equality act section9 and is therefore only open to female applicants due to the nature of the work. The hours of work will be between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to friday. No long working days are available in this position. Weekend working may be required when necessary to meet the needs of the department.
