Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport patients needing examinations done in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Knowledgeable in the safe transporting of trauma, critical or isolation patients.
• Demonstrates proper use of medical equipment used in the transporting of patients. This includes but is not limited to carts, wheelchairs, smooth movers, and oxygen tanks.
• Maintains the supply of oxygen tanks in the department.
• Keeps all medical equipment used in the transporting of equipment clean and sanitary.
• Reports any equipment in need of repair to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
• Assists the technologists as needed.
