About The Position

The Imaging Assistant position at Saint Francis Health System is a part-time role focused on supporting the Staff Technologist in various tasks related to radiographic examinations. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• 0 - 6 months of related experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist in positioning and immobilizing patients during radiographic examinations.
• Accession exam orders to accurately reflect the procedures performed using the electronic medical record.
• Performs procedural tasks such as CR processing, patient transporting, and related clerical duties.
• Utilizes hospital/department communications, telephone, computer, and paging systems appropriately.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Supports department and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.
• Attends mandatory in-service training and meets department educational standards.
