Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; hours may vary. Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses or training preferred.
  • Duties require computer skills, including knowledge of both hospital departmental computer systems.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.
  • CPR certification required within 3 months.
  • One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care including patient transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off the imaging table, and performing modality-specific duties as assigned.
  • Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures.
  • Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules, and assist with retrieval of outside images.
  • Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc.
