About The Position

The position involves observing and assisting in various capacities within the Orlando Health Imaging areas. The working hours are from Monday to Thursday, 8 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPAA and handoff compliance.
• Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly.
• Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up.
• Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment.
• Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed.
• Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.
• Adheres to Orlando Health's mission statement and strategic imperatives.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient's age and status.
• Responsible for professional growth.
