Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of nursing units within the healthcare facility.
  • Ensure that all patient care services are delivered in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement plans for improving patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing infection control policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for nursing staff by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in handling complex patient cases or difficult situations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
  • Handle any patient or family concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient flow and ensure timely and efficient delivery of care.
  • Stay updated on current healthcare trends and best practices, and implement them within the organization.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of the job.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and committees as required.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for new and existing nursing staff.
