About the position

The Intervention Specialist for K-12 will be responsible for providing support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with teachers and parents, and monitoring student progress to ensure academic success. The specialist will work closely with students to address their specific challenges and help them achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Provide direct support to students in the classroom and during individual sessions.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and strengths.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Experience with behavior management strategies.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology and resources.
