Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (preferred) in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, environmental health, engineering, biological sciences, environmental science, or related field; education may be substituted with additional relevant experience.
  • 35 years of experience conducting and managing Industrial Hygiene and Building Science projects.
  • Valid drivers license, ability to meet Drug-Alcohol Testing and DISA screening requirements, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirator and safety harness.
  • Experience or willingness to conduct asbestos surveys, abatement observation, air and personal sampling, and air and visual clearances.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations; Industrial Hygiene and Building Science sampling equipment and protocols; Microsoft Office; and technical/report writing.
  • Completion of required safety training and ability to travel locally up to 100% and regionally up to 50%, with willingness to be cross-trained in environmental disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred professional licenses and certifications, including TDSHS asbestos or lead credentials, TDLR mold credentials, and 40-hr HAZWOPER (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Senior Project and Project Managers while following established instructions, methodologies, and protocols.
  • Apply knowledge and experience in Industrial Hygiene and Building Science, including asbestos, mold, lead, exposure monitoring, noise, and indoor air quality.
  • Perform field measurements using industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling equipment.
  • Calibrate, operate, download data from, clean, and maintain field equipment.
  • Implement health and safety policies, maintain field notes, and develop technical reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Develop budgets, write proposals, assist with business development, and travel locally and regionally to project sites with required driving approval.
