The Ignition Exciter Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles, ensuring compliance with technical data and FAA regulations. This role involves functional testing, disassembly, and documentation of repair work, while maintaining a high level of quality in a fast-paced environment.

  • Complete review of component work order to ensure proper work scope is initiated.
  • Perform functional test for all Ignition Exciters inducted.
  • Disassemble electrical aircraft engine accessories with the use of hand tools and soldering stations.
  • Remove foam potting with precision detail to prevent damage from detail piece parts within the component.
  • Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
  • Remove identification and safety labels from components with use of a scraper/razor blade.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Administer foam potting back into the components after they are assembled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience
  • Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
  • Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
  • Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Basic computer operating skills (Word).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in aviation MRO industry.
  • High Mechanical aptitude.
