Ignite is built for driven first year students who are curious about the corporate world and excited to begin building their professional foundation. Whether you’re exploring majors, testing career paths, or simply looking for a place to start — this program is your launchpad.

As an Ignite participant, you’ll get an early, supportive introduction to the skills and insights that power modern careers. You’ll meet Cognizant professionals, explore new ideas, and start building a network long before most students even think about it.

Requirements

• A current first year at an accredited college or university
• A strong communicator and collaborative thinker
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn
• Beginning to explore leadership in any form — clubs, sports, volunteering, or campus engagement
• First year student enrolled in a four year BA/BS program during the 2025–2026 academic year
• Majoring in (or exploring!) business or STEM fields
• Attending an accredited U.S. college or university
• Permanent U.S. work authorization
