About The Position

We seek a motivated and positive minded Engineer to work as a System Engineer/Electrical engineer in our cross functional, multi-disciplined team. This contract provides a wide range of technical services in developing and maintaining Identification Systems (IDS) in support of our Navy customer. The selected candidate will provide design & test and evaluation support for the customer, developing technical solutions for complex shipboard Interrogator Systems. Tasking will entail requirements development, design of electronics equipment for military systems application, system to platform integration, system performance investigation and resolution, and DOD AIMS certification test execution. This tasking will require working within an interdisciplinary working group of acquisition, engineering, system integration, configuration management/logistics, technical professionals, and systems integration staff. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The position requires light travel to Navy surface ships, land based test sites, and/or contracting vendor facilities to support test and evaluation and system performance investigations. Some relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience designing and/or testing electronic systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IFF interrogator/transponder system design, test, and evaluation.
  • Experience developing test plans/procedures, running tests, collecting and organizing test data, and writing test reports.
  • Experience in electronic circuit and/or programmable logic design (PLD/FPGA).
