About The Position

IE Engineer Beaumont, TX Long term in plant assignment; no per diem/no relo This position is responsible for the development of capital and expense projects with moderate complexity. The candidate shall seek solutions to technical problems, conduct work on assigned tasks, and exhibit a significant level of knowledge and expertise in the electrical engineering field. The candidate is also responsible for providing project deliverables and driving improvements within their field of expertise through implementation of appropriate engineering tools, technologies, and work processes, both as an individual and as part of a project team.

Requirements

  • BS in Process Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Min of 5+ years solid in plant experience working as an IE Engineer.
  • Previous in plant experience working as an IE Engineer.
  • Demonstrated successful project management experience.
  • Self-starter who is effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, team interaction and ability to lead/participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Proven understanding of regulatory and industrial standard and codes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering for capital and expense projects including scope definition, cost estimates, design, specification and ordering of equipment, documentation (drawings, equipment files, etc.), implementation, and startup.
  • Design and implement projects that are engineered for safety, operability, and reliability.
  • Develop and submit capital and expense budgets.
  • Manage capital and expense projects to meet scope, schedule, and cost requirements per the customer.
  • Lead electrical reliability and plant performance improvements and support maintenance efforts.
  • Interact with production and maintenance personnel to solve production or design issues.
  • Drive improvements in maintenance work processes, procedures, performance, and cost.
  • Develop Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance Plans to improve plant reliability.
  • Provide electrical engineering technical support and troubleshooting for plant operating and maintenance departments.
  • Maintain expertise in assigned functional areas, for example, instrumentation, analyzers, power distribution, motors, etc.
  • Support development of Obsolescence and Long‐Range Plans, which includes identification of equipment and development of mitigation plans (Emerson Delta V and Rockwell PLC hardware platforms, etc.)
  • Assure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), PSM, local, state, federal, and corporate standards.
