About The Position

The Automation Developer IV performs advanced problem-solving and analysis related to Microsoft Power Platform solutions, focusing mainly in Power Automate & Power Apps as it relates to Intelligent Document Processing and Intelligent Extraction Processing. Develops, customizes, and optimizes applications and workflows based on approved design documents to meet business requirements. Troubleshoots and resolves complex system issues within the Power Platform environment. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, platform governance, and security standards.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
  • Requires advanced knowledge and experience in Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Dataverse to implement complex, scalable solutions.
  • Experience with model-driven and canva apps, implementing different types of Power Apps solutions.
  • Integration knowledge on integrating Power Platform solutions with other systems, including Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and various ERP systems.
  • Applies knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems.
  • Experience with data integration, including APIs, REST services, and SQL.
  • Typically requires experience with structured application development and change control methodologies.
  • Thoroughly interprets and understands business needs and drives innovation and excellence through technical solutions.
  • Excelent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Influences multiple areas of automation development, business functions, and workflows by shaping Power Platform policies, governance, and best practices.
  • Works across various Microsoft Power Platform components (Heavily Focused on Power Automate & Power Apps) and may lead automation projects, being accountable for the successful technical delivery of low-code/no-code business solutions.
  • Assists in managing critical automation initiatives and customer engagements, providing guidance and technical advice to junior engineers and developers.
  • Designs and develops complex automated workflows, apps, and dashboards based on approved functional and technical requirements.
  • Creates innovative Power Platform solutions that enhance business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support corporate goals and strategic priorities.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues within Power Platform environments as directed by management.
  • Ensures on-time delivery of Power Platform automation projects that meet business and technical specifications.
  • Collaborates effectively as a member of cross-functional project teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
  • Acts as a technical liaison representing IT automation capabilities and frequently assumes technical leadership responsibilities on automation projects.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and improve procedural workflows through automation, communicating these to stakeholders to drive business efficiency and enhanced customer service.
  • Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements and communicates them to other departments/areas to drive efficiency and customer service levels.
  • Utilizes advanced analytics and modeling tools to forecase impacts and measure automation outcomes.
  • Recommends design improvements, exercising autonomy in defining project objectives and solutions within assigned scope.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
