As an IDMS Mainframe Database Administrator (Part Time) you will have the opportunity to do the following: Database Management: Manage IDMS databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and security. System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch updates and configuration changes. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement effective database backup and recovery strategies. Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve database issues in a timely manner. Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize efficiency. Collaboration: Work with application developers and system administrators to contribute to database design and system architecture. Compliance and Security: Ensure databases comply with industry standards and security protocols. Capacity Planning: Anticipate and plan for future database capacity requirements. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
