About The Position

Artisan Partners Limited Partnership is seeking a hands-on Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist to lead the development and execution of our enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management strategy. This role will be responsible for reimagining individual and team roles, aligning IAM standards across applications, and driving automation and integration of IAM tooling. The IAM Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day provisioning and deprovisioning activities while also handling business analyst and system administrator responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in IAM systems administration
  • Strong motivation to learn, research emerging technologies, influence change, and stay current with IAM trends
  • Ability to deliver within tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated proactive work ethic, with exceptional ownership and accountability and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management lifecycle processes, RBAC/ABAC models, and regulatory compliance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage IAM strategy across the organization supporting least privilege principles as well as role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) models
  • Work cross-functionally with application owners to define and enforce IAM standards within applications and systems
  • Administer and support IAM-related systems, including IAM integrations between HRIS tools, Okta, Active Directory, and other platforms
  • Coordinate and oversee team activities related to daily access provisioning and deprovisioning tasks
  • Create and maintain roles across the firm, working closely with team members and managers to ensure individuals have access to the right resources
  • Oversee IAM lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding (Joiner/Mover/Leaver)
  • Conduct regular access reviews and certifications to maintain compliance and reduce risk
  • Maintain team-specific and firmwide documentation of IAM processes, standards, and system configurations
