About The Position

An Idealease Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and fleet vehicles, providing both on-site and shop-based services while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with diesel engines and medium to heavy-duty trucks, typically 3+ years.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to use modern diagnostic software and tools.
Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a safety-focused mindset.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems for Idealease lease and rental trucks.
Conduct system diagnostics using computerized equipment to identify and verify issues.
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined and adjusted as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and corrective repairs.
Respond to customer service calls for on-site diagnostics and repairs at various locations.
Work independently while traveling to customer sites to provide timely and efficient service.
Replace and repair brake systems, suspension components, and powertrains.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, providing clear updates on repair status.
Ensure customer satisfaction with all services performed.
Exhibit professionalism and courtesy to all clients, visitors, and colleagues.
Complete all work according to safety requirements and published procedures.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
Adhere to manufacturer policies, labor operations, and repair documentation standards.
