This position provides direct care services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured small group home setting. The role involves training and assisting residents with all activities of daily living, including self-administration of medications, personal hygiene, housekeeping, food preparation and feeding, mobility and community access, transportation, recreation and leisure skills, and maintaining basic health. The specialist is also responsible for implementing behavior management programs and providing emergency behavior or health-related interventions when necessary. The position aims to foster a productive, clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, while serving as a positive role model.
