About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is actively seeking IDD Companion / Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. These special needs caregivers, known as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in both home and community settings. Their role is to act as a companion and mentor, helping clients reach their full potential. Requirements

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
