About The Position

The ID Service Assistant at Central Plains Center plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with mental illness, Intellectual Disabilities (IDD), and chemical dependency. This position involves providing daily programming, training, direct care, and supervision, while upholding the rights, privileges, and dignity of those served. Key responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, performing crisis intervention, supervising medications, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The role requires an understanding of Intellectual Disability and its impact, as well as the ability to adapt to frequent interruptions and transport individuals in Center vehicles. Central Plains Center fosters a supportive work environment and offers flexible work hours.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
  • Must demonstrate a concern for the rights, privileges, and dignity of individuals served
  • Must have understanding of the diagnosis of Intellectual Disability and its impact on persons
  • Must be able to administer CPR
  • Must be able to consistently and accurately perform the documentation tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a situation in which frequent interruptions are inherent
  • Must be able to transport in Center vehicles both out of town and in town
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, holidays and over night shifts

Responsibilities
