About The Position

We are seeking a skilled ID/OD Grinder to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate will operate OD/ID grinders to produce high-precision parts for the aerospace industry, ensuring adherence to strict tolerances and process documentation. This role involves multitasking on various equipment and requires a strong understanding of machining principles and quality control processes.

Requirements

• CNC OD Grinding experience
• CNC ID Grinding experience
• 3 years of CNC Grinding experience
• Blueprint Reading skills
• Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y, and z axis, along with edge and center line pickup
• Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Operate OD/ID grinders to produce parts according to process documentation.
• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and last piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
• Perform operator maintenance and diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.
