Requirements

  • High School Education or GED.
  • None required experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with the Internet.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to get along with others.
  • Can effectively function in a matrix and team environment.
  • Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work elements to make any setup or reset in the machine group.
  • Set-ups may include removing and installing support rolls; indicating, removing, and installing pressure rolls; installing spindles; changing motor pulleys; and changing and adjusting diamond roll dresser.
  • Install one motor block to drive the grinding wheel to dress the drive roll and a second motor block to drive the grinding wheel for bearing components.
  • Change, grind, and adjust jaws on the chuck work-head.
  • Change and grind backing plates.
  • Set and adjust shoe and shoe holder.
  • Attend the running machines in the group at regular intervals during machine setup.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Manually load all units with parts and remove parts from unloading trays.
  • Use a limited variety of gauges, such as air, mechanical, plug, and runout, to inspect parts running on all units.
  • Perform SPC data charting as required.
  • Read prints and gauge a high percentage of finished parts, making machine adjustments accordingly to maintain specified print tolerances.
  • Change grinding wheels and turn diamond when necessary.
  • Keep machinery and work area clean and orderly.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties such as material handling, clerical reporting, and machine lubrication.
  • Perform first piece approval, per setup approval-process.
  • Operate precision measuring equipment.
  • Follow Ethics and Safety Programs.
  • Adhere to all Export, Import, and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position.
  • Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
  • Adhere to ISO 9000 Standards.
