About The Position

The ID Card Specialist (Personnel Assistant II) at NAVY ICA provides essential military personnel support services to the U.S. Navy's Identification Card Administration program. This role involves delivering ID Card services to military personnel, retirees, and their dependents, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, and maintaining accurate records in DEERS and RAPIDS systems.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years' experience in a Customer Service environment.
• HR background in Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims, or Navy Transportation.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with standard office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.).
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (NACLC) security investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a military environment or with military personnel systems.
• Knowledge of military entitlements and allowances.

Responsibilities

• Provide ID Card services to military personnel, retirees, and their dependents.
• Verify identity and eligibility of authorized DoD beneficiaries.
• Issue DoD Identification Cards and perform DEERS updates.
• Operate and maintain RAPIDS workstations and process CACs.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding identification card eligibility and application requirements.
• Reconcile erroneous DEERS information and perform PIN resets.
• Maintain RAPIDS equipment and perform user maintenance as needed.
