About The Position

As a National Internal Traveler RN, you will be a direct clinical registered nurse providing independent patient care within your scope of practice. Daily, you will utilize your advanced patient care skills, continuously enhancing your nursing knowledge, skills, and behaviors through education and involvement beyond basic job requirements. Success in this role requires exceptional clinical expertise, strong adaptability, a proactive approach to professional development, and a steadfast commitment to independent, high-quality patient care in dynamic settings. EBP and Patient Care Interprofessional Collaboration and Communication Leadership Professionalism Acquires and maintains knowledge in nursing practice and assumes responsibility for the professional development of self, other nursing staff and students.Fosters and contributes to the establishment of an environment that supports and maintains respect, trust and dignity. Maintains accountability for own practice, delegated care, and the coordination of care delivery.Uses the unique and complementary abilities of all members of the team to optimize attainment of desired outcomes. Collaborates and communicates with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.Incorporates evidence when initiating changes to nursing practice. Utilizes current evidence based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the life span and care continuum.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as registered nurse in a critical care / intensive care unit.
  • ADN or Nursing Diploma
  • Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing and/or compact state license
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and (ACLS) through American Heart Association.
  • Other credentials may be required based on specialty and area(s) of assignment as specified by the requesting facility, state license and other regulatory requirements for local, state and federal agencies.
  • Certification in specialty preferred; certifications and competencies to support care area and patient population served.
