About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate ICU Stepdown RN to provide care for patients requiring close monitoring, complex interventions, and frequent assessments. Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent ICU Stepdown RN experience.
• Consideration given to candidates with 3 years Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience.
• Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license (Florida license must be obtained within 60 days if relocating).
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree (BSN preferred).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
• BCLS certification or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience caring for patients on drips and long-term ventilators.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork focus.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive patient data and perform clinical assessments.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply clinical judgment to manage safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor critical vital signs and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient condition and interventions.
