About The Position

The Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. This role involves directly supervising and communicating with all staff along with the Director of Medical/Surgical. The Charge Nurse assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment, and staff. Additionally, the Charge Nurse ensures the efficient functions of the department and performs direct patient care as needed, within the scope of practice. The Charge Nurse continually assesses care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BCLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHS Stroke upon hire and maintain current
• Current Basic Dysrhythmia
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
