About The Position
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) for 13-week contract assignments in a hospital-based Intensive Care Unit . This role is ideal for critical care nurses who are confident managing high-acuity patients , advanced monitoring, and complex clinical situations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to function effectively in high-acuity, high-stress environments
- BLS (AHA required)
- ACLS required
Nice To Haves
- PALS preferred (include only if facility-mandated)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, titratable drips, and treatments per protocol
- Assist with invasive procedures and advanced life-support interventions
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ventilators, and hemodynamic data
- Communicate patient status changes promptly to providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary ICU team members
