About The Position

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) at Solara Specialty Hospital is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit during night shifts. This role involves direct and indirect patient care for individuals ranging from young adults to geriatrics with complex medical conditions. The RN will supervise and direct patient care activities, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and promoting teamwork among healthcare staff.

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing by the state of employment.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ICU or critical care nursing.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and order entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the ICU.
• Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to LVN/LPN or CNA and other team members.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the nursing process when providing patient care.
• Ensure compliance with established nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and other departments.
• Consider patients' age and specific needs in the performance of nursing tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
