  • Independently perform the functions of direct patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care.
  • Work in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead projects.
  • Solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Explain difficult information and work to build consensus.
  • Oversee patient care team and coordinate care plan.
  • Accountable for patient care meeting safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and team members.
  • Advocate for patient and resolve ethical and clinical concerns.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and protect patient health information.
  • Adhere to infection prevention initiatives.
  • Deliver competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice.
  • Continuously evaluate patient condition and collaborate with healthcare team.
  • Manage environmental and system resources for patients and families.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Additional languages preferred.
