About The Position

The Network Engineer will contribute profound technical expertise and strategic foresight to our technology platforms, ensuring the alignment of complex IT solutions with our client’s evolving needs across its architecture and engineering divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience in a multi-office or enterprise environment.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) required; additional certifications (e.g., Palo Alto PCNSE) a plus.
  • Deep expertise in Cisco networking platforms, routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), firewalls, and enterprise wireless network design.
  • Experience with network modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, NetBrain), network monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG), and segmentation strategies.
  • Ability to lead complex projects and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless systems, and network segmentation.
  • Serve as a technical authority and escalation point for network design considerations, with responsibility for proposing scalable, secure architecture solutions.
  • Lead the evaluation and development of network performance optimization strategies, balancing innovation with risk mitigation.
  • Ensure the firm’s network design meets enterprise security, regulatory, and operational requirements; recommend controls and configurations aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with client IT, design teams, and leadership to translate business and project needs into resilient and efficient network architecture.
  • Mentor junior IT team members and provide technical leadership during design planning, evaluations, and standards development.
  • Conduct network assessments, capacity planning, and contribute to disaster recovery strategy design.
  • Actively participate in client technology planning and digital innovation initiatives related to network design.
  • Maintain documentation for network architecture standards, design processes, and planning playbooks.
  • Assist with ad hoc responsibilities as assigned, especially in response to changing technology demands or initiatives.
