As an Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Team Member at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of inventory within our Distribution Center. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations, which directly impacts our ability to deliver products to our guests safely and efficiently. You will work closely with your ICQA Leader and operational teams to identify and resolve defects related to inventory stored in various locations throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include conducting audits, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy. In this role, you will be expected to perform weekly audits and communicate your findings effectively with your ICQA Leader and other operational leaders. You will utilize lean methodologies, six sigma tools, and 5S techniques to drive cleanliness and ensure thorough documentation of defects for root cause analysis. Your problem-solving skills will be vital as you work to correct any inaccuracies in inventory records and conduct follow-up audits to support ongoing improvements. Additionally, you will assist operational teams by addressing any inaccuracies that may hinder their ability to pick products, thereby preventing downstream order cancellations. This position requires a proactive approach, as you will need to anticipate the needs of your leaders and solve problems before they escalate.
