About The Position
The Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) plays a crucial role in addressing barriers to safety and wellness for vulnerable populations, including refugees, asylees, and other ORR-eligible individuals. This position is designed for those who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals who have faced significant challenges due to conflict and disaster. The ICM Caseworker will provide strengths-based, client-centered case management to a diverse range of clients, including single-headed refugee households, survivors of domestic violence, older refugees, youth without guardians, and those with mental health or physical disabilities. The role requires a deep commitment to understanding the unique needs of each client and developing tailored service plans that align with their individual circumstances and goals. In this position, the ICM Caseworker will conduct intake assessments to determine client eligibility for ICM programming, develop individualized self-sufficiency plans, and evaluate client progress every six months. The caseworker will assist clients in navigating complex healthcare and social service systems, ensuring they have access to the resources they need. Community outreach is also a key component of this role, as the caseworker will maintain a strong network of service providers and collaborate with local and state refugee coordinators to meet client needs effectively. The ICM Caseworker will provide clients with essential orientation on various topics, respond to crises, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
