About The Position

The Program Coordinator is responsible for integrating and monitoring the active treatment program of each assigned resident in a manner that is consistent with current federal, state, local ICF/ID regulations and CARF standards. The Program Coordinator will direct the work and provide supervision and leadership of assigned staff through the mentoring and development of a cohesive team.

Requirements

  • Free from convictions or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred, an Associate of Arts degree with one-year experience in a direct support setting, or a minimum of one-year supervisory experience demonstrated leadership ability with a minimum of two years experience in a direct support facility will be considered.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working directly with persons with intellectual &/or developmental disabilities.
  • QBS Certification within 6 months.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicle(s).
  • Ability to obtain a Class C (CDL) endorsement, as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Directs team in the planning, coordinating and implementing of the Organization's programs and procedures for the individuals served.
  • Prepares and facilitates resident admissions & discharges.
  • Participates in pre-admission visits with potential residents & families.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees;
  • Assuring assigned staff are scheduled for required classroom training.
  • Developing and maintaining assigned employee work schedules;
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work;
  • Working directly with the new employee in the home to provide hands on training, which would include scheduling themselves and/or designated staff to train on the new employee's regularly assigned shift (including weekends). Training to include resident-specific information as well as the general schedule and workflow is for assigned home;
  • Assists with the on-boarding of new employees to include but not limited to providing the employee with a written plan for training; having the relevant paperwork ready; introducing the employee to residents, department staff & others; setting up the work area as needed for the new employee; scheduling one-on-one time with the employee; supporting the employee to learn the agency culture to include the mission statement and values; holding meetings with the employee at regular intervals to determine additional training needs.
  • Provides direct support on an as needed basis.
