About The Position
ICF IID Technician would work with Intermediate Care Facility program in Martinsville, VA serving adults whose primary diagnosis is intellectual disability, assisting clients in learning independent living skills; personal care skills; housekeeping skills; and recreational / leisure activities in the home and in the community. Will be able to multi-task and document clearly, have high school diploma / GED, and valid driver' s license with safe driving record. Residential experience is needed, CNA experience a plus as well as knowledge in Active Treatment component of an ICF-IID program. Must be able to physically lift and support clients when necessary and be eligible for certification with the agency's approved behavioral management support system. Ability to be flexible with schedule as need arises, and available afternoons / evenings, and some weekend hours as required. Pay opportunities are commensurate with education and experience as related to the position. Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
