Ice Skating Instructor - Columbia Heights
About The Position
The City of Columbia Heights Recreation Department seeks a PT Ice Skating Instructor to lead youth ice skating classes on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Season predicted to be late December - January, depending on weather/ice conditions. The Instructor is responsible for planning and leading beginner-level classes for youth ages 5 - 12 . Through instruction and game play, will teach youth the basics of skating and ensure their safety. Will collaborate and co-teach with other skating instructors. Assists with communications. Classes are held on an outdoor rink in Columbia Heights, MN. Instructors will be working in variable outdoor winter weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be intermediate/advanced in hockey or figure skating, and able to teach skills
- Must be able to positively interact with youth and families
- Must pass a background check
