About The Position
The Ice Resurfacer / Zamboni Driver / Ice Rink Monitor position at Arch Amenities Group involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants at the ice rink. Under the direction of the Ice Rinks Coordinator, the Rink Guard plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for skaters. This includes monitoring skating traffic, checking hand stamps, and communicating with skaters about potential safety violations and risks. The position also requires assisting injured skaters with first aid and completing necessary accident and incident reports. In addition to safety monitoring, the role encompasses light maintenance duties in public and common areas, performing routine maintenance during skating sessions, and assisting with special events and programs at the Ice Arena. Responsibilities also include managing the rental of skates and helmets, opening and closing the facility as required, and enforcing policies to ensure the well-being of the public. The Ice Resurfacer is responsible for driving the resurfacing machine and maintaining the quality of the ice surface. The position demands a proactive approach to facility cleanliness, including tasks such as emptying trash, keeping grounds free of debris, and performing general floor care. The Rink Guard will also be involved in setting up and cleaning up after scheduled events, ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard. The role requires the ability to work independently without supervision and to complete required training to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
