Follett Denver is a proud member of the Middleby Corporation family of companies. Follett Denver currently has an opportunity for an Ice Maker Evaporator Assembler to join our team! Job Summary The Ice Maker Evaporator Assembler will assemble the ice maker evaporator units for use in the refrigeration system by cleaning, brazing, welding, soldering, and foaming components. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure efficient production and safety.

Requirements

  • Mechanical and electrical fundamental knowledge.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
  • Good interpersonal skills can work with various departments and management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read and follow written work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work for assembly by visually inspecting incoming materials & tools for defects.
  • Assembles evaporator by welding, brazing, wrapping, soldering, and foaming using tools such as hand & power tools; following verbal, written & electronic instructions; and following engineering drawings.
  • Maintains Follett production and quality standards by using equipment, tools, and supplies as needed to accomplish job results, inspecting parts, checking copper tubing for leaks by conducting leak tests, detecting malfunctions, deburring sharp edges, and cleaning units using various processes.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and by notifying supervisors of hazards.
  • Resolves problems by notifying supervisors to obtain additional information or resources.
  • Documents actions by completing reports such as production, inspection, and foam records. As required by the production supervisor.
  • Keeps equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and notifying appropriate personnel of needed repairs.
  • Performs daily inspections of all bench tools and work-in-progress (WIP) parts.
  • Assists in training new employees by demonstrating proper techniques, giving verbal instruction, and answering questions.
  • Maintains inventory levels by using various inventory control systems.
  • Must be willing to move to any department as needed.
  • Must be willing to provide support to all other departments upon request.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
