About The Position

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is seeking a Head Coach for the Ice Hockey team for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is part of the Athletics & Activities department and is essential for guiding and developing the ice hockey program at the school. The coach will be responsible for training student-athletes, developing game strategies, and fostering a positive team environment.

Requirements

• NJ Instructional Certification.
• Successful experience coaching Ice Hockey.
• Experience as a player in the sport is preferred.
• Completion of Principles of Coaching Course.
• Current CPR/AED Certificate preferred but must be willing to obtain.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in coaching at the high school level.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Ice Hockey team during practices and games.
• Develop training programs and strategies to enhance team performance.
