About The Position

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is seeking two Assistant Coaches for the Ice Hockey team for the 2025-2026 school year. The positions are part of the Athletics & Activities department and are essential for supporting the head coach in training and developing student-athletes in the sport of ice hockey.

Requirements

• NJ Instructional Certification.
• Experience as an Ice Hockey Coach and/or player is preferred.
• Completion of Principles of Coaching Course.
• Current CPR/AED Certificate preferred but must be willing to obtain.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in coaching at the high school level.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices.
• Support the development of student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
• Help manage game day operations and strategies.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
• Ensure compliance with all league and school policies.
