About The Position

Sonny's Place is locally owned. We are committed to providing safe, fun, and entertaining activities for families in our Western New England communities. Since opening in 2008, we have continually invested in expanding our offerings. We started with a driving range and have continued adding more attractions each year. Our most recent additions are the Monkey Mayhem Miniature Golf Course and Bumper Boats! Sonny's Place is named in honor of the owner's father, recognizing how family ties get stronger when kids and adults get the chance to have fun together. Position Summary: The Ice Cream Server is responsible for the preparation of ice cream cones, milkshakes, and sundaes with accuracy. The ice cream server is also responsible for keeping a clean work environment and providing excellent customer service to our guests.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must be 16 years old.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
  • Able to work a weekend, night, and holiday schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Scoop ice cream, and create sundaes and milkshakes with accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines.
  • Restocking inventory
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the cash register and POS system.
  • Ensuring the ice cream facility remains clean and orderly, including maintaining a tidy workstation, guest seating areas, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
