A Kitchen Lead at Molly Moon’s is responsible for all ice cream maker responsibilities as well as managing daily production to ensure appropriate inventory including fulfillment of all internal and wholesale orders, working in collaboration with their chef to execute accurate ingredient ordering and related processes, and ensuring proper cleaning and food safety protocols. On an average day, our production leads are independently creating a production plan, communicating the plan to ice cream makers, ensuring cleaning tasks are fulfilled, executing ordering with vendors in collaboration with their manager, and churning out large batches of ice cream. The Production Lead offers support to other ice cream makers with daily production responsibilities and communicates with the delivery team to ensure fulfillment of orders. This position works collaboratively with their shop’s chef. Problem-solving, strong time management, and effective communication are critical components of this role. The Production Lead reports to their location Chef and is an important on the ground leader in their kitchen in the execution of Molly Moon’s mission to make the world better, one scoop at a time, as a multigenerational community gathering place where ice cream, sustainability, and happiness are at the core of all we do.
