About The Position

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for an ICC Special Inspector with Reinforced Concrete and/or related certifications in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. The successful candidate will be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of structural steel welding, bolting, concrete, masonry and/or grading. The candidate must be able to read and understand structural blue prints and current code requirements.

Requirements

• Thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of structural steel welding, bolting, concrete, masonry and/or grading
• Able to read and understand structural blue prints and current code requirements
• Current ICC Special Inspection and related certifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with drop box and laptop reporting
• Ability to learn or already know/understand Clark County reporting requirements along with surrounding jurisdictions
• 3+ years of experience working in the materials testing and inspection industry
• A positive attitude
• Good organizational skills
• A strong work ethic
• Current valid driver's license and a good driving record

Nice To Haves

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Field inspection of structural steel, bolting, welding, masonry, concrete and/or soils
• Maintenance of proper and complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, RFI's, and other pertinent field data
• Clear communications with the Project Manager and the client's representatives
