About The Position

Dabri, Inc. is seeking an ICC Certified Inspector to support future public sector construction projects throughout California. This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of construction practices, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives. This is an on-site position supporting active construction projects.

Requirements

  • Active ICC Certification(s) relevant to inspection discipline(s)
  • 5+ years of experience performing construction inspections on public or private projects
  • Strong working knowledge of building codes and construction methods
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections and priorities
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vertical construction, public facilities, or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Familiarity with public agency construction standards and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and approved documents for compliance with the International Building Code (IBC) , local ordinances, and project requirements.
  • Identify code issues prior to construction and coordinate with project teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform on-site inspections at various construction stages including foundations, framing, structural components, and final completion.
  • Verify materials, workmanship, installation methods, and sequencing meet approved plans and applicable codes.
  • Inspect structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems based on certification.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, field notes, and deficiency notices.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and photographic documentation.
  • Track corrective actions and verify resolution of non-conforming work.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
  • Clearly communicate inspection findings, code requirements, and corrective measures.
  • Participate in project meetings as needed to support compliance and quality objectives.
