An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs and troubleshoots machine controls using PLCs, PCs, HMIs, motor drives, or other instrumentation and controls. This role requires a strong process control background, including temperature and pressure controls, strain gauges/load cells, signal conditioners, and lasers. The technician will be responsible for developing control, data collection, and signal processing systems, as well as troubleshooting existing PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers, and electronic sensors of all types. Additionally, the technician will ensure the satisfactory operation of new equipment and prepare operating and training manuals. Training maintenance staff to service critical electronic components is also a key responsibility.
