Tesla is seeking a skilled Controls Technician with a focus on controls and low voltage systems for our EPC project team. This role is to expedited construction and utility systems that support manufacturing tools. Work closely with system experts to install building automation system instrumentation and controls in a state-of-the-art 24-hr manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has technical knowledge in Electrical, mechanical, chemical and gas systems with strong instrumentation and controls experience. Install, and maintain panel integration, including PLCs, VFDs, RIOs Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment and troubleshoot process control systems (control valves, flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, actuators, leak switches) Work with low voltage systems such as building automation, security, and data communication networks Interpret and use electrical schematics, control diagrams and P&IDs for installation and troubleshooting HVAC equipment, Process skids, and MFG equipment Perform Preliminary Commissioning activities including but not limited to loop checks, device configurations, OATs, Motor IDs, and network configuration Supporting controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading and new installation of systems by consulting manuals, reading, and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
