About The Position
We are seeking a skilled IBM MQ Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IT infrastructure, solution architecture, and operating systems to support our organization's technological needs. The IBM MQ Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IBM MQ IT infrastructure, which includes servers, networks, and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of IBM MQ, including the implementation and optimization of Queue Managers, Channels, and Cluster Sender/Receivers. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain Queue Manager backup and restore solutions, troubleshoot IBM MQ Secure Channel Architecture and implementation, and address any cluster issues that may arise. Performance tuning and troubleshooting will be key components of this role, ensuring that the IBM MQ environment operates efficiently and effectively. In addition to the core responsibilities, the IBM MQ Administrator will utilize AWS services for cloud-based solutions and design and implement solution architectures that meet business requirements. This position requires strong hands-on experience in IBM MQ server administration, particularly with IBM MQ versions 8 and 9. Familiarity with CI/CD practices for software development, knowledge of virtualization technologies such as ESXi, and an understanding of AWS cloud services are essential. The ability to design and implement effective solution architectures, along with familiarity with various operating systems and their configurations, will be critical for success in this role.
