J Polep has been servicing the New England area and beyond for over 120 years. This position is located in Chicopee, MA and reports to the Vice President of Information Technology and is part of supportive and energetic IT team.
Requirements
- 10 + years of experience as an IBM I Developer or similar role.
- Hands on experience with Data Mining, Retalix Power Warehouse (WMS), Retalix Power Enterprise (NCR, H+S, IDS) Software, VAI S2K and other ERP and WMS systems
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor's degree in computer science preferred but not required, information technology or similar certifications.
- Experience with Java, Javascript, Jason, Lansa V.15, PHP and XML would be a plus.
- Proficient in Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and General Ledger apps a plus
- Foodservice Distribution Supply Chain a plus +
- Experience using JIRA and Azure Dev Ops a plus
- Prior experience with browser UX apps, PHP, Vue-js, Lansa 15 or other IBM i modernization software tools is a plus
- Java development experience .
Responsibilities
- Application development and programming in RPG (III, IV, ILE, FREE), Embedded SQL, CL, DDS, SDA, Subfiles, Query/400, SQL/400, Procedures, WebSphere
- Strong business orientation iSeries AS400 Developer (IBM iseries 7.xx) to support multiple versions in various divisions
- Experience in Developing & maintaining IBM i (AS/400) applications with RPG ILE, RPG Free.
- Collaborate with and interface with other ERP and WMS systems such as VAI, NCR Retalix and Oracle Fusion
- Hands on experience and working knowledge to support a multi-site operational WMS environment within a distribution center structure.
- Supervise Change Management System for all programming modifications & enhancements.
- Assist in managing development & enhancements for e-Commerce, mobile applications for B2B, B2C, & other similar platforms
- Cross function and communication with other platforms such as Microsoft Office, MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word
- Analysis, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and damage control
- Setup of hardware and equipment for workstations - new & existing.
- Make hardware and system recommendations.
- Meet SLA requirements as designated.
- Expert in supporting support on premise solutions and cloud services.
